Information Officers in the Ogun State Civil Service have been charged to drive the Change Agenda of the present administration led by Senator Ibikunle Amosun through their publications.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mr. Ibikunle Onasanya gave the charge during a familiarisation meeting with Information Officers, held at the Governor’s Office, Press Centre, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
He said as Information Officers, they have a critical role to play in the rebuilding mission of the present administration, adding that accuracy and timeliness must be their watch word.
The PS stressed that they are ambassadors of the State in their various MDAs, noting that they must project Government programmes and activities positively to the teeming populace.
“This Government is in a hurry to effect change and as Information Officers we must support the Government to actualise the Change mantra as it affects The Mission to Rebuild Agenda of the Government”. He said.
Onasanya said this administration has zero tolerance for indiscipline and lateness to work, explaining that they should be creative and innovative in projecting the activities of the present administration.
Responding on behalf of the Information Officers, the Chairperson of the N.U.J Information chapel, Mrs. Seun Boye promised that Officers would give their very best and support the Mission to Rebuild the State by disseminating timely and accurate information.
