OGUN NUJ INFORMATION CHAPEL INTRODUCES XMAS CAROL

THE Ogun State Information Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has introduced a new dimension into the celebration of Christmas by its members.

This year and for the first time, the chapel – under the leadership of Mrs. Oluwaseun Boye as the Chairman– has put together a Christmas Carol which will hold on Tuesday, December 1.

“Ogun State Information Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists will on Tuesday, 1st December 2015 hold the maiden edition of its Christmas Carol and five lessons tagged ‘Joy To The World,” a release signed by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr. Johnson Odunewu, explained.

The release further stated that the service would hold at the Chapel of Christ the Glorious King, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Kuto, Abeokuta by 4pm.
It added that the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Otunba Dayo Adeneye, will be the Chief Host.
“Members of the Chapel as well as invited guests are expected to be seated by 3:30pm,” the release said.
In a chat with GatewayMail, Boye explained that the decision to hold the carol was part of the dynamisms in the new leadership of the largest chapel of the NUJ in the Gateway State.

“What we are doing in the chapel is to provide purposeful leadership by introducing series of unique programmes
and taking steps that would improve not only the professional skills of our members, but to uplift their spiritual well-being too,” Boye stressed.
She added: “Under our able leadership and with the level of professional synergy we are developing within, we shall do all within our ambit to make our chapel a leading one among the others in Ogun State.”
