The Magistrate Court in Ota on Tuesday ordered Biola Joshua, a 40 year old mother of a student of Iju-Ebiye High School, to sweep the premises of the school for the next six months as a purnishment for her offence.
It was earlier reported that Biola Joshua alongside some thugs invaded Iju-Ebiye High School. Mrs Biola Joshua accomplices, who were still at large had disrupted the peaceful atmosphere of the school.
Magistrate Shotayo Shotunde, in her rulings said that Mrs. Joshua should sweep the school compound from 8am to 11am, Mondays to Fridays, starting from Wednesday 23rd March,2022 and that a record book should be opened by the school authority where her activities per day and the time should be recorded. She was also asked to pay certain amount of money to all the injured teachers for treatment or serve a jail term of two years and ten months.
A reliable source in the school said that the woman opted for the first option and was taken to the school from the court by the Court Clerk on Tuesday and she had since resumed work on Wednesday morning after the medical bills of the injured principal and teachers have been settled as directed by the court.
