The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress APC on Monday approved a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the governorship, State House of Assembly, Senate and House of Representatives primary elections.
APC in a release signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka, said the Governorship and State House of Assembly primary elections will now hold on Thursday 26th of May, 2022, the Senate primary election will now hold on Friday 27th of May, 2022, while the House of Representatives primary election will now hold on Saturday, 28th of May.
The party noted that the special convention for the Presidential primary will be held as scheduled from Sunday, 29th to Monday 30th of May, 2022.
State delegates are to vote in the Governorship primaries while local government delegates are to vote in the Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly primaries.
The APC has had to revise its timetable for the 2023 primary election thrice as the political party tries to meet up with the June 3 deadline issued by the INEC for the conduct of party primaries
