ABDUCTED BISHOP, WIFE, DRIVER REGAINS FREEDOM

The abducted Bishop of the Anglican Communion, Rt Rev Oluwaseun Aderogba and his wife have regained their from their abductors on Tuesday, 48hrs after they were kidnapped.

Confirming his release on Twitter, Diocese of Osun Anglican Communion -@anglicanosun- stated that the victims have been taken to the hospital for medical attention.

“Praise be to God. Bishop Adeyinka Aderogba, his wife and driver were released from the den of kidnappers after 48 hours.

“They are being taken to the hospital for medical attention,” the tweet said.

It was not revealed any ransom was paid to secure the release of the clergy man and his wife.

Our heritage reporter has reported that the cleric and his wife were abducted by unknown gunmen on Sunday evening along Ogbomoso/Oyo road.

The Bishop’s Chaplain who with the Bishop and the wife during the attack recalled how it happened and how he escaped.
