The leader of the team, Mr Sanusi Aliyu, the representative of the Executive Secretary of National Police Security Trust Fund, speaking at the Office of the Secretary to the State Government where they where received said they have come to carry out on-the-spot assessment of the state of police security architecture in the state.
Aliyu said "we are in Ogun State to conduct on the spot assessment on the needs and challenges of the Nigeria Police and we are in the governor's office to show appreciation to government and the good people of Ogun State for the wonderful support they are giving to the Nigeria Police. We want to say we are very delighted with what we have seen" He stated.
He further hinted that they have been conducted round major police facilities in the state including the training school, the commands, barracks with a view to improving on them through partnership with the state government, build new facilities where necessary, provide assistance for the procurement of security equipment and other associated facilities that will improve the efficiency of the Force.
Aliyu who is also the Director of Funds Mobilization and Partnership of PTF, assured that the Federal Government through the National Police Trust Fund is poised to provide more technical support through training adding that the government will respond positively to the plights of the officers in the state upon the submission of their report.
