The Artisans Association of Ogun State Nigeria(AAON) has decorated the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun as it's grand patron, saying that the governor has done well.
The association also decorated Governor Dapo Abiodun as the 'Tayese of Ogun State.
The Chairman of the association in the state, Artisan Ayodele Anthony who made this known at the Governor's office, Oke-Mosan, during the decoration of the governor as the association's grand patron, disclosed that the association is fully ready to support the second term aspiration of the governor.
Anthony also acknowledged the contribution of the state government towards the first ever artisans day in the state, noting that the relationship between the present administration and the association in the state is highly commendable.
" We are here to appreciate the governor, to pledge our support for the Governor's second term bid and to tell the world about the wonderful things the governor has done for artisans in the state.
In his response, Governor Dapo Abiodun described artisans as one of the engine room of the society and the largest employer of labour, adding that his administration would continue to support and collaborate with the association in it's quest to see a reduction in unemployment.
"They are one of the engine rooms of our society, they are one of those responsible for our IGR, they are also the largest employer of labour, our administration believes that as long as we encourage them, we will begin to see a reduction in employment and insecurity, so we will Continue to stand by them, support, cooperate and collaborate with them," the Governor disclosed.
The Governor later presented the association with a branded brand new bus.
