OGUN GOVERNOR PRESENTS 2023 BUDGET TO OGHA

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has presented the 2023 budget named “Budget of Continued 

Development and Prosperity” to the Ogun State House of Assembly. 

The budget is expected to achieve social cohesion

that will continue to focus on equitable socio-economic growth and 

development State-wide.

The principal objective in 2023 is to maintain and enlarge economic base while being strategic towards harnessing economic  opportunities in the State.

A total expenditure of N472.25 billion is proposed for the 

State Government in 2023. The proposed expenditure comprises of N201.84 billion as recurrent and N270.41 billion as Capital with the 

highlights below:

a. Personnel Costs of N79.47B;

b. Social Contribution and Social Benefits N21.12B;

c. Public Debt Charge of N39.90B;

d. Overhead Cost of N61.35B;

e. Capital Expenditure of N270.41B
