Version Conflict: OGUN CELEBRATES 2022 NATIONAL YOUTHS DAY.









The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has said that his administration would focus more on the present and  the future needs of the Youths, as his administration would leave no stone unturned to ensure that it focused on  programmes that would make life more abundant and meaningful for the youths across the State. 

Prince Dapo Abiodun represented by his deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako Oyedele, made this known at the year 2022 National Youth celebration held at the Cultural Centre Kuto, Abeokuta.

Governor Abiodun said his administration mantra, ISEYA is aimed to engender development of the State to benefit all categories of ages especially the youths.

" We created so many opportunities for our young ones in all sectors such as ICT, Education, Agriculture, Sports, Trade and investment  among others for all round prosperity and better future for our youths" the Governor said.

In his welcome address, the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde, said the issues around young people had been brought to the front bunner so that they could be addressed accordingly through the celebration. 

The Commissioner said the theme for the programme was apt as the State government  has used  the ISEYA mantra" to curb social vices among  the youths  through provision of employment opportunities among  other things to enable these young ones excel in life and be employer of labour.

The pannel of discussants which included the Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr Toyin Taiwo, the Commissioner for Industry, Trade and investment, Mrs.  Kikelomo Longe, the Commissioner for housing, Jagunmolu Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, and their counterpart in Culture and Tourism Ministry, Hon.  Adijat Oladapo spoke respectively on the impacts of their respective agencies on  Youth development as regards the ISEYA mantra of the State Government. 

The State Chairman , National Youth Council, Commrade Abduljabar Ayelangbe thanked the State Government for using the programme to bring all youths together under the same umbrella to discuss issues that affect them.
