OGUN SUBEB MONITORS SCHOOLS' RESUMPTION, PROMISES IMPROVED WELFARES


The Executive Chairman, Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Femi Majekodunmi,  has gone round to monitor the level of preparedness as schools resume for  the 2nd term of 2022/2023 academic session with a promise to improve teachers welfares.



Dr Majekodunmi, who led the monitoring team to some part of the Schools in  Abeokuta axis of the State, said he was impressed with the level of readiness in the schools, noting that the visit was to encourage the teachers to redouble their efforts in the new academic session, as this would  enable the Learners excel in their studies. 



SUBEB boss noted that the welfare of teachers was highly key to achieving the revitalisation agenda of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration, adding that the government would continue to engage them to further improve the education sector.



According to him, "the present administration has put in place resources to develop the education sector in the State, and we expect teachers to reciprocate the gesture in this academic session’’.



In her remark, the Headteacher, Baptist Nursery and Primary, School 1, Mrs. Olayiwola Christana Olukemi, said the schools had resumed fully and were ready to ensure smooth teaching and learning activities for the term.

Other schools visited include, Nawair-Ud-Deen Nursery and Primary School, Ilugun Ikija, Abeokuta, Baptist Nursery and Primary School II, Idi- Aba, Abeokuta, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Ijeun Lukosi.
