OGUN NIPR ORGANISES TWO-DAY WORKSHOP FOR PRACTITIONERS

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Ogun State Chapter, has organized a two-day workshop for practitioners in the State, with the theme, "Navigating the Digital Storm: Mastering Crucial Communication and Reputation Management", to enhance service delivery for Public Relations Professionals across the Public and private organizations.

Declaring the event open, at an event centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, emphasized the importance of communicating with knowledge, accountability and quality service delivery in governance and organizational success.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Public Service, Mr. Jola Oyeneye, the Head of Service emphasized that the digital revolution has transformed not only how we communicate but also how both public and private institutions are perceived, urging participants to leverage the workshop to sharpen their skills and adopt best practices in Public Relations and communication.
In her welcome speech earlier, the Chairperson, Ogun State NIPR, Mrs. Oluwaseun Boye, disclosed that the training was first-of-its-kind for image makers in the State and it marks a significant milestone for NIPR, Ogun State as a demonstration of  the Institute's commitment to promoting excellence in Public Relations and Communication. 
"The workshop is a significant step towards enhancing service delivery in Ogun State, by equipping Public Relations Professionals with contemporary strategies and skills, the NIPR Ogun Chapter is promoting excellence in governance and organizational success",  she remarked.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, Engr. Olanike Ogunbona, highlighted the significance of learning in a digital world, encouraging participants to fully participate and contribute meaningfully to the discussions.
The workshop featured expert-led sessions like Understanding Crisis Communication by Dr. Toyin Onayinka, Crisis Preparedness and Risk Assessment  by Mrs Thelma Okoh, Message Development and Spokesperson Training by Mr. Tope Adaramola and Managing the Media and Digital Crisis Response by Mr Segun Mac-Medal who employed industrial knowledge, expertise, share knowledge, and best practices in Public Relations and Communication..
