The Ogun State Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency (OgunInvest) has expressed its readiness to deepen collaboration with the Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) to strengthen investment promotion, expand business connections and position Ogun State more prominently before local and international investors.
The Special Adviser to the Governor and Director-General of OgunInvest, Ms. Sola Arobieke, stated this when she received the Chairman of the Ogun NIPR Chapter, Mrs. Oluwaseun Boye and members of the planning committee of the forthcoming Owanbe Nite Season 2 during a courtesy visit.
Arobieke emphasised the importance of strategic partnerships that create opportunities for the state to engage the private sector, showcase its investment potential and strengthen relationships with businesses and other key stakeholders.
She explained that OgunInvest serves as the state’s one-stop investment facilitation platform, supporting investors through government processes, promoting investment opportunities across various sectors and providing dedicated investment support to facilitate the establishment and expansion of businesses in the state.
According to her, engagements that bring together government, businesses, professionals and other influential stakeholders can provide useful platforms for strengthening investor relationships and opening new channels for business and investment opportunities.
Earlier in her remarks, the Chapter Chairman of Ogun NIPR, Mrs Oluwaseun Boye said the chapter was interested in a partnership with OgunInvest that would extend beyond conventional event participation, with particular emphasis on creating opportunities for business engagement, networking and collaboration among government, the private sector and professional stakeholders.
She noted that the Business and Investment Networking Event tagged Owanbe Nite Season 2, Ariya Galore “Celebrating the Spirit of Oneness”, scheduled for November 6, 2026, in Abeokuta, provides an opportunity to bring together a diverse network of business leaders, professionals, government representatives and other stakeholders.
Boye therefore sought OgunInvest’s support in leveraging its private-sector network to connect relevant organisations and business stakeholders to the engagement, with the objective of creating meaningful relationships that could translate into business opportunities and stronger partnerships.
The meeting also explored opportunities for collaboration around the forthcoming World Public Relations Forum (WPRF), scheduled for November 15 – 21, 2026, in Abuja, highlighting it as an important platform through which Ogun State could project its investment opportunities, businesses, economic potential and creative industries to a wider international audience.
Both organisations agreed on the need to maximise such platforms for strategic communication that goes beyond visibility to create meaningful engagement with investors, businesses and other economic stakeholders.
The engagement reinforced the shared commitment of OgunInvest and Ogun NIPR to strengthen government-private sector relationships, enhance the visibility of Ogun State as an investment destination and leverage strategic communication and stakeholder networks to promote sustainable economic opportunities in the state.
