According to a press statement from the office of the State Commander through the So-Safe Corps Director of Information and Public Relations, ACC Moruf Yusuf, said that the Corps was contacted by Force CIID Annex, Alagbon, Lagos State that the suspect, Mr. Adewale Adegbenro popularly called Akilapa was declared wanted for burgling into the residence of his employer where he worked as a night guard at Adigbe, Abeokuta and carted away gold and jeweleries worth fifteen million naira since 14th December, 2021.
The Special Squad of the Corps was charged to go after him and ensure he was captured alive without any injury so as to get more information that could lead to his arrest and other members of his team.
The statement added that Adewale was finally apprehended somewhere in Odeda Local Government Area in Ogun State after he was being closely monitored by officers of the Corps.
The suspect had therefore been transferred to the Force CIID Annex, Alagbon, Lagos State for further investigation and likely prosecution.
